When you need to ride more than one bus or train to get where you’re going, you might need to buy transfer to complete your trip. Transfers are valid for two (2) hours from the time purchased and can be used to board one (1) additional Local Big Blue Bus*, as well as most other regional bus lines and Metro rail systems. 

• Only one transfer may be purchased per paid fare.
• When boarding a bus using a transfer, another transfer cannot be purchased.
• To transfer from a bus to a Rapid 10 bus, buy a transfer on the local bus. Then give the Rapid bus Operator your transfer and pay the upgrade fee ($1.00 for regular/student and $0.50 for S/D/M).
