Beginning September 2012, the paper EZ transit passes will transition to blue TAP cards.
The EZ transit pass will be electronically loaded onto the blue TAP card for regular riders and the orange Reduced TAP ID card for Senior and or Disabled riders.
The EZ transit pass will remain a "calendar pass," valid the 1st through the last day of the month.
Currently, BBB fareboxes do not accept TAP cards, however, MCOs will allow riders to use their TAP card like a flash pass as long as there is a stamp with the month, year and zone designation (if required) affixed to the front of each card.
Senior, Disabled and Medicare fare riders will still be able to purchase and use the paper EZ transit pass for the months of September and October 2012. This will give them additional time to apply for and receive their reduced TAP card and affix their new EZ transit pass sticker.
